Went to Conrads today to get my soft crab sandwich as I have done often because they are on special on Tuesday.  Usually the crab is so large it hangs over the side of the roll.  Today that was not the case.  It was very small.

This was not my first experience with Conrads in Belair, but it was most disappointing. My grandkids were here for the summer and wanted crabs often because they don't have good access to crabs in their state. On 7/12/26, I took that 45 minutes each way ride again and was so irritated when I got back home. The size crab the young lady showed me in the crab house was not what I took home. I faulted myself as well because I should have checked before leaving. I've had their crabs and was always satisfied so I didn't think it necessary. Not only were my crabs small, but a few of them were almost hollow inside and some were dry. Out of two dozens of crabs  we had 15 good ones. Unacceptable! What stunned me most was when I called to ask if they would fix the problem I was told it would have needed to be addressed before leaving the crab house. So I guess I will need to dump the crabs from the bag moving forward. That is ridiculous. I drove a long way, wasted gas, and time but it will not happen again. Their customer service is always great and the crab cake sandwich was tasty. EDIT: As you can read here, a manager did respond to my review and offered an apology. At the manager's request, I contacted them to discuss, and my situation was rectified immediately. Thank you, Conrad's, for taking care of me. As I stated initially, their customer service is always great! ADDITIONAL EDIT 9/12/26 The crabs were heavy and tasty. I asked for light seasoning this time, as they are often too spicy for me. Our cashier was attentive and friendly. The other foods we purchased were hot and delicious, too. The brisket sandwich was very tasty! We tried the potato salad and was pleasantly surprised, it was seasoned well. Lastly, we grabbed some fresh items: 2 lbs of steak fish & 2 tubs of crab meat that were cooked at home. My sister and I saw their posts on facebook. So we decided to go. My sister is 💯 foodie. I’m the tag along. Our very first visit. We did the $50 all you can eat crabs and buffet. It was a hit. Our server Ms. Shannon was our high point. You don’t find too many people with excellent customer service skills anymore. Ms. Shannon was professional, detailed and showed that she genuinely cared about our service. Ms. Shannon went above and beyond. The crabs were good and so was the food. ~~>Check your order before yall leave..<~~ l Pre ordered 4 doz crabs, 3lb of shrimp and 12 ears of corn, shrimp was done 30 min before the crabs, but it’s holiday so I can work with it. Just disappointed when we got to the bday party as we only got 6 ears of corn when we ordered 12. It’s my fault, we are from out of town and I didn’t check the bags before we left the place. Check your bags guys. It was a simple mistake I think, they sell 6 ears of corn cheaper than individuals and I ordered 2 6packs of corn. I’m guessing they just didn’t see the 2 next to the corn order. The crabs were good, the shrimp was good, crabs were heavy, and I thought fair pricing.
