What shipping provider do you use?
We use UPS for Shipping, allowing for a fast, safe, and insured arrival.
Do you ship year round?
Yes we do! During the Maryland crab season from April to November we only use Maryland crabs. In the off season we use crabs from Virginia, North Carolina and South Carolina, all the way down to Florida and Louisiana as well.
What Can you ship?
We can ship anything from Steamed Crabs to Fresh Maryland Crabmeat. If you are looking for something not on the website, you can fill out the request information form above or give us a call at 410-882-1515.
Gift Card and Promotion Information
Physical gift cards and In-store promotions are not applicable for shipping. We do offer online gift certificates that can be used on shipping orders and we will run online promotions.
Product Information
can you ship live/uncooked crabs?
No, unfortunately we cannot ship crabs live/uncooked. We can ship them without seasoning if that is the concern, but they have to be sent steamed.
is your crabmeat fresh maryland crabmeat?
- When we are in Maryland season, which runs from April to November, the crabmeat will be fresh, Maryland Crabmeat.
- When in the off season, the crabmeat will be flash-frozen Maryland Crabmeat. The flash-freezing process allows for the best preservation.
how long will my product last in the fridge/freezer?
- Crabs will last 2-3 days within the fridge. Crabs themselves should not be put into the freezer as it dries them out.
- Crabmeat and Crab Cakes are good in the fridge for 3-4 days. They can be put into the freezer for up to a month.
- For the Crabmeat being sent flash frozen during the off-season, it is not recommended to refreeze the meat since it has already been frozen.
Shipping Process
How do we ship the product?
The product arrives in a thick Styrofoam coolers, concealed inside of a cardboard box. To make sure the package arrives cold, gel packs are securely placed inside. These gel packs are made to last up to 48 hours.
what type of ice packs do you use?
Food safe Gel Packs are used to keep the package cold.
They are meant to last up to 48 hours after leaving the store.
How will i know when my package will get here?
Once the shipping label has been created, a tracking number will be sent over via email. You will be able to track the package as it travels through UPS.
How far in advance can I place my order?
When placing your order, you have the ability to choose your arrival date based on what shipping method you have chosen. While you are able to place your order ahead of time, prices and availability are not guaranteed. A few days in advance is plenty of notice.

Each package is Insured by Conrad’s Crabs free of charge to arrive safely to your destination.
